When you think about debt at a national level, a lot of Canadians usually ask what does government spending has to do with me? Well, today I want to bring some light on this matter as it plays a more important role than most people actually think, and it can affect the country as a whole. First, in Canada, we are one of the most highly taxed nations, and the reason stems from the debt, we are also one of the world's 5th most severely indebted nations. The debt from the government also carries a huge interest and government spending has been a way out of budgets which leads to borrowing more money.
